HOW TO STYLE YOUR KITCHEN

Perfect Kitchen Styling. Every time.

When it comes to adding personality and those final styling touches to your home, the kitchen can often be a space that is overlooked - but your kitchen doesn't need to be boring! 

And whether you've been a bit more daring with the colour of your cabinetry or stone or opted for a classic white kitchen, there are always things you can do to spice it up and make your kitchen just as full of personality as the other rooms in your home. 

One of my favourite places to start is by creating a beautiful kitchen vignette.  A vignette, to put it simply, is a grouping of decorative objects clustered together to create a bit of a "moment".

STYLING TIPS FOR THE PERFECT KITCHEN VIGNETTE

WITH THREE KEY INGREDIENTS

1. KEEP PIECES PRACTICAL AS WELL AS INTERESTING

Choose pieces that are relevant to a kitchen so not only so they make sense, but you'll use them too.

Think interesting fruit bowls, sculptural salt and pepper grinders, pot plans, wooden chopping boards and colourful cookbooks.

2. USE PIECES WITH HEIGHT

Think about heights of these objects.  You want some variation here to create some visual interest. Often a chopping board or book will add our height element. 

3. ADD TEXTURE THROUGH YOUR PIECE SELECTION

Texture is important, and again, should vary.  Avoid using too many of the same materials.  For example, if you have a powder coated steel fruit bowl (like our beautiful Mona Curve), pair this with a ceramic bowl and glass grinders.
