norsu x Ink and Spindle Cushion, Blush Riverbend with Blush Leather Piping
It goes without saying that you all know how obsessed we are with designing bespoke cushions at norsu, using luscious textures and our latest range is no exception to the rule.
Our team of designers have been working tirelessly to create a delicious patterned cushion and one that would compliment the existing range. A piece of something special, just like a favourite item of art, that can be added into the mix with ease whilst giving you the pop of excitement as it transforms your space.
We have worked with the talented artistic team at Ink & Spindle and are beyond excited to say our new patterned fabrics are hand screen printed with love and artistry skill in Abbotsford using water-based, organic certified inks on certified organic fabrics.
Each unique creation has then been thoughtfully teamed with our favourite Warwick fabric, our go-to Haven Shell linen. Backing the patterned fabric with Haven Shell provides flexibility, provided a double-sided cushion which will match perfectly with the entire norsu cushion range. Of course, these are piped with our infamous blush leather piping!
All cushions are crafted in Melbourne.
Sizes include 40x60cm and 50x50cm.
About the print
An obsession with repetitive lines found in nature was the origin for this design – Lara from Ink & Spindle was originally fascinated by the winding lines of the scribbly gum moth. Many iterations later and the result became more reminiscent of a river winding it’s way through the landscape, with some sections recognisable as Yarra Bend adjacent to their location at the Abbotsford Convent.
About the fabric

The Ink & Spindle Process
Ink & Spindle love the tactile and organic nature of screen printed textiles, with each length of metreage carefully printed by hand - by their hands in fact - on a 13 metre table. Each screen measures 1.8m tall and requires two people to handle at all times. Ink & Spindle work our way down the table producing each design through a series of interlocking repeats.
